Here we will try to answer a few of the most common questions that we get here. If you have one that is not on this page feel free to call or email us so we can answer it.
Honestly, there are many factors that go into giving a quote. We use Googlemaps to locate your home, which gives us a pretty good idea of what the cost will be. Once we look at the home we quote the price over the phone, usually within a minute or so. If we cannot locate your home on Googlemaps, or it is a bigger home that has to be looked at we will then come by to look at it in person. Most homes cost $69-$89 depending on if its one story or two, where your located, the square footage of the home, and the difficulty of the job. Here is a link over to our competitors page that shows you the price comparison between us and the other gutter companies in Rochester.

NO!!!! This is a very tricky question to explain but i'll try. Water does not magically make clogs disappear. Basically, water takes the clog and moves it underground or into a big pile on your yard. Most gutters these days go to underground storm drains. If I take water, flush out a clog, and it goes underground where does it clog then? Thats right! Underground where someone with a power snake has to come and remove it and that's big money. There are more reasons, but this is the primary reason.
A lot of contractors in this business give you a range of about $30 when they quote the job over the phone. We have done thousands of cleanings in 13 years so we know just about every style of home there is. What we quote on the phone is the price. If we get to the house and there are things not mentioned on the phone then we will call you to inform you that the price maybe different. However, there are a lot of times we are below the price quoted.
If we find a clog in a downspout, and we usually do, the simplest and best way (in our opinion) is to just take the downspouts apart. All downspouts are held together using screws or rivets. If its screws we just unscrew, take apart, clean, and reattach If they are riveted, the we have to drill out the rivet, take apart, clean, and reattach. Either way its fast, simple, and the most efficient way to clear stubborn clogs.
I recommend at least once a year if you have any trees near your property. Most our customers are twice a year, however there are customers that we do up to 5 times a year. It really depends on how many trees you have and what types they are.
YES!!! In New York State you have to have general liability insurance in order to do work. However, if you are a sole proprietor (no employees just yourself) you are not required to have workers compensation insurance. The only time you HAVE to have workers compensation is when you have employees who receive paychecks (not under the table workers). We have sufficient insurance on both general liability and workers comp. Both are over $1 million dollars each so no worries about that here.
No one has to be home at time of service. Reason for this is I am not a weather man. When you call to schedule an appointment three or fours days in advance the weather is not always perfect for working conditions. I don't like to have people take vacation time only to have me not show up because its raining and the winds are 40 mph. So our policy is to leave a bill in the mailbox and you can mail it in. We do ask that payment be made within 30 days or late fees do incur. This makes it easier for all parties involved. Now if you want to be there we can meet that request as long as weather is not a factor.
I will only install screening if the customer REALLY wants me to. The reason for this is that most screens don't work they just make cleaning the gutters more difficult. There are many types of screening from plastic mesh, to high tech bolt-on systems. I don't believe there is a system out there that is really worth the money you will spend on them. For the price of the good ones you will spend upwards of $12-15 per foot of gutter. Now you do the math, but if I charge $75 to clean your gutters, I can clean them twice a year for 20 years and equal or beat the cost of these no clog systems. I usually uninstall at least 4 or 5 of them a year to get out birds nests, and squirrel nests.
YES I DO!!! About 11,000 of them in fact. If you would like the names of people I have done work for just let me know. Also check out www.angieslist.com where actual homeowners post reports about the contractors they deal with. I am on there with an above average rating for quality contractors.
We are Rochester New York's largest gutter cleaning service so it obvious we service Rochester. However we also service all of monroe county, parts of genesee county, and parts of Buffalo NY.
HOMEADVISOR REVIEW:
" It was a pleasure to have a business call back within minutes, set a time to assess the work, show up on time and then complete the work within the time promised. Russ was professional, and understanding. I would definitely use his services again:

HOMEADVISOR REVIEW:
"They called, spoke with me and gave me an estimate of the cost of the work. Russ, the owner, called to let me know they were running late and gave me an estimated time of arrival (ETA). He called me when they were 15 minutes out. Russ had an assistant and they had the items moved out very quickly, about 15 minutes from start to finish. I'd absolutely hire them again and have highly recommended them to friends and family."

"Good phone communication prior to the visit to return call and estimate their arrival. They were friendly and quick to get the job done. Gutters were clean, and the debris was hand removed into garbage bags that they took with them. Only a few leaves left on the patio from the entire process which they came back for when I asked them to." Customer in Buffalo NY
